Oh, Baby!!

When you've been away from blogging for nearly a year, it's difficult to just pick it right up where you started. In fact, it's impossible. A lot has happened since last March. My parents moved into our house with their dog and parrot.  Zoe graduated from Kindergarten and started 1st grade. Finn is in his last year of preschool. We made new friends and reconnected with old. At the end of October, Daniel and I took a trip to Calgary for work and the morning after we got back, I found out we were expecting baby #3. Baby #3! Due July 7, 2014!* We'd been trying for more than a year, so it wasn't a big surprise. Well, I suppose that isn't right. In Calgary we were discussing how we we might be done trying. We were beginning to adjust our idea of what our family would be (again) and accepting that we were a family of four and what that meant. Part of me was sad that I was done and there wasn't another baby joining our family, but I was feeling sort of at pea...

The Quarry Originally uploaded by KeelyE Slept in. - Walked thru Hemisfair Park with Zoe, Daniel & his parents. - Took lots of pics (that I can't upload without Internet. - Went to Craft Fair with Daniel while his parents watched baby. - Had lunch with Daniel at the Quarry, then browsed the stores (while his parents watched the baby). - Ate a delicious meal that his parents made. - Exhausted. - Generally feeling like I had no responsibility today which is kind of awkward since I'm usually so absorbed with my daughter. - Feeling especially blessed that we get to have and enjoy a vacation with Zoe. San Antonio is even more lovely when I get to revisit it with her.

Reconstruction

I’m not a petite person. If you called me thin, slim or skinny, it would be because it’s opposite day. I guess you could say I’m curvy. I was this way before I had my two beautiful kids and I’m even more so now. In any case, I’m definitely plus sized. I’d love to not be plus sized and occasionally I get the inclination to make life changes to be a healthier person, but more often than not I give in to stress eating or just ridiculous cravings. It’s something I beat myself up over every single day. I don’t need other people beating me up too. For the past few months, I’ve been getting weekly emails from the medical group that I go to for all my “women’s health” needs. I signed up for these emails when I registered for their web portal. I was promised the ability to “receive timely health information, manage [my] own health care, and stay in touch with [my] physicians”. Sounds good, right?
